Olympic Gold Medalist Kaitlin Sandeno is debuting a new show via WiSP, or Women in Sports Podcasts, aptly titled “Behind the Blocks.” Sandeno, a 4x Olympic medalist, is also one of the first female GM’s in pro sports history with her position for The International Swimming League’s DC Trident .

Today marks the premiere of the debut episode, with UCLA coaching legend Cyndi Gallagher, who also serves as DC Trident’s Head Coach. In 2019 Sandeno, Gallagher and Trident broke new ground by debuting the first 100% female coaching staff for an all-gendered pro sports team. Says Sandeno, “I’m thrilled to host my first ever podcast, especially for the only global podcast network for women’s sports. It’s been inspiring to use the time some of us now have to not only try something new, but to also celebrate inspiring women in our sport.”

New episodes will air every other Monday with upcoming guests including reigning NCAA Swimmer of the Year Beata Nelson, NCAA Champion Amy Bilquist, Olympic icon Amanda Beard, and University of Florida and now ISL Cali Condors’ stand-out Natalie Hinds.

Chris Stafford, President WiSP Sports added, “We are delighted to welcome Kaitlin as host of ‘Behind the Blocks,’ a new podcast series where she will be chatting with her own selection of guests from swimmers to coaches. The series of six episodes will run every two weeks from May through July on the WiSP Sports podcast network reaching a global audience.”

Sandeno offers the unique perspective of empathy with her guests as a two-time Olympian herself. And with The Olympics historically postponed for a year, Kaitlin Sandeno will be bringing to life how these athletes are evolving their training and lives for 2021 and beyond.“Behind the Blocks” is available wherever you listen to podcasts.
