Junior National Finalist Preston Forst of Enfinity Aquatic Club Sends Verbal to Stanford

NEW COMMIT: Greensboro, N.C. native and rising high school senior Preston Forst has declared his verbal intention to continue his academic and swimming career at Stanford beginning in the fall of 2020.

An incredibly versatile swimmer, Forst swims year-round with Enfinity Aquatic Club and owns 11 Summer Juniors (or faster) standards. He most recently raced at Summer Nationals where he recorded a pair of best times after winning the 200m IM at North Carolina LCM Seniors. Last winter, he registered four top-7 finishes at Juniors East and won five events at Christiansburg Sectionals.

Also competing for Northern Guilford High School, Forst won the 200 free and was the 100 back runner-up at the North Carolina 3A State Championships as a sophomore after winning the former event during his rookie campaign. He has also earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors.

He told Swimming World:

  • 400 IM – 3:53.02
  • 100 fly – 47.40
  • 200 fly – 1:43.53
  • 50 free – 20.65
  • 100 free – 44.85
  • 200 free – 1:37.13
  • 500 free – 4:24.50
  • 1000 free – 9:18.55
  • 100 back – 49.16
  • 200 back – 1:46.82

Forst’s versatility will make an immediate impact when he arrives on The Farm as a member of the class of 2024 and he’ll have two years of overlap with top flyer/freestyler Jack LeVant.
