Rikako Ikee seems to break a new record with each meet she swims in. The 16-year-old continued to produce swift times and lower records while swimming at the 2017 Konami Open at Tatsumi International Swimming Center in Tokyo this weekend. The Japanese Olympian took down her own Japanese National Record in the 50 LCM free, lowering the World Junior Record along with it.

Ikee delivered a scorching 24.48 in the 50 free to slide past her previous best of 24.67, marking a new Japanese National and Asian Record. Additionally, her time marked a new FINA World Junior Record, lowering her own of 24.67.

The 16-year-old now owns national LCM records for the 50, 100, and 200 free, as well as the 50 and 100 fly events. Of her national records, her most recent 50 free also stands as the Asian Swimming Record and the FINA World Junior Record.
