Italian Championships: Final Day Wraps Up Meet

TREVISO, Italy, July 20. THE final day of the Italian Championships came to a close at the meet held in Treviso.

Mirco Di Tora started the final day of action with a win in the men's 100 back. He touched in 55.86, while Elena Gemo followed with a triumphant time of 1:02.05 in the women's 100 back.

Niccolo Beni was the only man under 2:00 in the men's 200 fly with a winning time of 1:59.78, while Irene Bonora touched out Silvia Rossi, 2:29.64 to 2:29.72, in the women's 200 breast. The men's 200 breast title went to Luca Pizzini after a 2:13.87.

Renata Fabiola Spagnolo snared the women's 200 free crown in 2:00.86, while Federico Colbertaldo captured the men's 1500 free in 15:12.87.

Cristina Maccagnola cruised in the women's 50 fly with a winning readout of 27.26, while Alessandro Calvi completed the meet with a 49.84 in the men's 100 free.
