CHAPEL HILL – Duke freshman Isabella Paez has been a standout for the Blue Devils this season, and that continued Friday in the dual meet against North Carolina where she won the 200 butterfly.

Paez spoke with Swimming World’s David Rieder about getting her race strategy in line with how she plans to race in few weeks at the Atlantic Coast conference championships, particularly in finding speed in the first half of her races. The meet against UNC was the final dual meet of the season for Duke swimming, and Paez said she’s getting more excited about racing in her first conference meet as the days roll on.
