"Overall I was very pleased with our performance today," head coach Sue Novitsky said. "There were a lot of contributors to our victory and our depth was terrific."

Senior Marissa Clapp swam to event titles in the 200 breast (2:19.25) and 200 IM (2:05.57). Junior CeCe Marizu swept the backstroke events with titles in both the 100 back (58.13) and 200 back (2:05.36). Freshmen Kelly Kunkel and April McKee both took their first collegiate titles in the 200 free (1:54.51) and 500 free (5:07.43), respectively.

"At today's meet a lot of people stepped up and did a great job," Novitsky said. "We had at least three individuals scoring in 10 of the 16 events."

The Illini return to the pool in two weeks to take on the Illinois State Redbirds on Friday, Nov. 7, in Normal, Ill.
