International Swimming Hall of Fame Welcomes Brandi West

The International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF) welcomes Brandi West as an assistant to the executive staff.  She will be helping oversee the marketing, advertising, sponsorship, sales, and e-commerce elements of the corporation.

West is uniquely qualified in these areas with extensive experience in developing and executing strategic marketing plans with a heavy focus on digital marketing.  She is highly skilled at developing creative, integrated, and effective email campaigns, social media and display ads.

“We are very lucky to have someone like Brandi join our team at the International Swimming Hall of Fame and help us move forward with our Swimming World Magazine merger.  We are in the early stages of converting Swimming World’s valued advertisers over to ISHOF sponsors. Brandi brings the experience and work ethic that we need to service the growing number of those supporting ISHOF”, said Brent Rutemiller – CEO of the International Swimming Hall of Fame and Publisher of Swimming World Magazine.

It was announced last year on November 3rd that Swimming World would merge operations with the International Swimming Hall of Fame. Over the past 12 months, much progress has been made to consolidate these two important institutions.

The inclusion of Swimming World properties into ISHOF’s portfolio creates new opportunities and new products that will elevate ISHOF. Significant upgrades to the museum are already underway, including the conversion of parts of the Henning Library into a television studio for new multi-media programming and products. Offices are being upgraded, and new Swimming World staff will relocate to Fort Lauderdale.

The city of Fort Lauderdale approved $27 million to renovate the aquatic center earlier this year.  In addition, ISHOF and the Fort Lauderdale City Commissioners came to terms on a 30-year lease, ensuring that ISHOF remains permanently attached to the aquatic center.  Look for ISHOF to set a new and exciting course, and in the meantime, please consider becoming a member of ISHOF and donating to help us preserve the history of aquatic sports.
