PHOENIX, Arizona, April 25. Just a couple of days after chasing the European record in the 100 breast at the International Stroeck Austria Meeting in Vienna, Mirna Jukic was able to get her name in the record books with a European mark in the 200 breast.
Jukic swam a 2:22.46 to erase the former mark of 2:23.02 by Norway's Sara Nordenstam at the 2008 Olympics. Jukic had swum a 2:22.91 in February 2008, but the time was disallowed because the pool was measured too short.
Jukic finished fourth in the Olympic 200 breast with a 2:23.24.
