Industry News: Plymouth Life Centre in England Boasts Colorado Time Systems Setup

LOVELAND, Colorado, May 10. ENGLAND has recently opened their $61 million dollar Plymouth Life Centre, in the city of Plymouth, about 190 miles Southwest of London. The new center has areas to accommodate several different sports and a premier swimming facility with three pools. The new Life Centre is so impressive that it will act as the training center for many elite athletes right away. Colorado Time Systems, a leader in aquatic timing, scoring and display systems, was chosen to contribute to this state-of-the-art swimming facility, with the use of their products.

The Plymouth Life Centre opened officially to the public on March 22, 2012 to much anticipation. The locals, aquatic community and government officials came out in force on opening day to celebrate one of the biggest and most expensive facilities in England. The Life Centre includes a 10-lane, 50m swimming pool, diving pool, recreational pool, multi-purpose sports hall, 15m climbing wall and bowling area.

Colorado Time Systems provided 2 full color video screens and three different types of scoring systems. The equipment they provided had to be versatile because the Life Centre will cater to not only swimmers but divers and synchronized swimming.
