Industry News: Otis Spunkmeyer Named National Fundraising Partner of NISCA

SAN LEANDRO, California, August 3. NISCA, the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association, announces that Otis Spunkmeyer has joined NISCA as a national fundraising partner, specializing in cookie dough fundraising. Otis Spunkmeyer cookie dough fundraisers help interscholastic and other competitive swim teams nationwide raise money for travel, equipment and other program costs.

"With the current state of the national economy, all school budgets are under the microscope. Swim teams at all levels have a significant amount of expenses to offset to ensure they can compete at a high level," said Dana Abbott, Marketing Director and Past President of NISCA. "We look forward to a successful partnership with Otis Spunkmeyer that will help teams raise money for the program costs associated with providing a great competitive swim experience for these young swimmers."

NISCA is a volunteer organization that supports high school coaches of all aquatic sports. It is dedicated to coaches' education and athlete recognition through its All America programs, as well as promoting all interscholastic aquatic sports. NISCA provides opportunities for coaches to network and exchange knowledge and experience.

"Otis Spunkmeyer is proud to partner with NISCA," said Liz Rayo, Director of Marketing for Otis Spunkmeyer Fundraising. "Our mutual commitment to young people through promoting an active lifestyle and positive competitive team play will result in success both in and out of the water."

Swim teams hoping to raise funds over the summer still have time. Otis Spunkmeyer is currently offering a signing incentive that includes $100 off the invoice and five $50 Restaurant.com discount cards for any NISCA members that sign up for a spring/summer fundraising event before June 15, 2011. To take advantage of this special offer, call 888-ASK-OTIS and select option three for cookie dough fundraisers. Otherwise Otis is scheduling fundraisers all the way through the 2011-2012 school year and beyond. Teams can call anytime to schedule their fundraiser.
