Industry News: Avidasports Promotes Coach Collaboration

HARPER WOODS, Michigan, September 18. AVIDASPORTS, LLC announces a revolutionary meeting in the sport of swimming involving athletic telemetry training.

Recently Jarod Schroeder, the head coach of Northwestern University men's swim team met with Don Kimble, the head coach of Holland High School/Michigan Lakeshore Aquatics. This collaboration shows how coaches may come together to learn the powerful impact swimming's cutting edge technology delivers to improve their programs. Both swim programs used Avidasports this past season and have seen substantial improvement with their swimmers and are eager to enhance their usage abilities.

Jarod met with the Holland/MLA swimmers to provide guidance on how to make yourself “recruitable,” how best to prepare to be a college swimmer, and answered a variety of questions.

Additionally, Kimble and Schroeder met with Scott Hedges, Avidasports' Vice President of Operations, to share ideas, plan for their fall usage of Avidasports, and make a usage commitment for the season.

Avidasports is a swim training technology that results in unmatched accelerated improvement in times for all events and distances. The feedback swimmers and coaches receive “real time” during training sessions on predetermined performance measurement targets, creates the ultimate accountability to results. Swimmers receive audio feedback from the coach AND the computer while the system is calculating and trending length-by-length swimmer analysis of key performance metrics for the entire season for up to 100 swimmers – simultaneously.

Practice now trains the brain, not just the body. Swimmers learn “what works” much faster than before and build “muscle memory” during training that can be applied race day. The use of Avidasports results in one personal best after another at a faster rate, regardless of the level of swimmer. In the end, it's all about using technology to not only win but also make the coach's job easier by providing an in-water tracking tool.

Avidasports is currently installed at several schools and programs including NCAA top finishers such as University of California Berkeley, University of Michigan, USC, The Ohio State University and The Bolles School.
