Illinois Swimming & Diving Adds Five More Athletes To Class Of 2022

Illinois swimming and diving head coach Sue Novitsky has announced the addition of five more athletes that will join the Fighting Illini on campus this fall. The recent additions include Gabrielle Loeck, Lauren Partridge, Elizabeth Rumsey, Kathryn Sanders and Makayla Varga.

“We are very excited to welcome these women to the University of Illinois Swim and Dive family,” said assistant coach Elliott McGill. “They are all great students and people that are going to bring great athletic backgrounds to our program. We are excited about bringing in women of character and commitment to our rising program”

“Lizzie Rumsey is joining us and I could not be more excited to have an athlete with her strength and aesthetics to become a member of the team,” said head diving coach Manny Pollard. “She will be working alongside the other two freshman divers to help improve on the year we had last year and begin to tear down the record books! The new age of Illini diving is upon us and we are so happy to have her join the squad.”
