NEW COMMIT: The NC State Wolfpack have received a verbal commitment from Ross Dant for the 2019-2020 season. Dant is a junior from Hickory, North Carolina. The distance freestyler is a member of the USA Swimming National Junior Team.

Dant’s top times include:

  • 1650 Free 14:53.07
  • 1000 Free 8:57.54
  • 500 Free 4:18.89
  • 400 IM 3:53.10
  • 200 Back 1:47.70

At YMCA Nationals in April Dant won the 1650 in a new meet record of 14:57.03. At Winter Juniors East in December he finished second in the 1650, fourth in the 500, and eighth in the 400 IM.

With a year and a half left of club swimming Dant would already be a significant contributor for the Wolfpack. His best 1650 time would have finished fourth in the ACC in 2017. He also would have been a 500 freestyle B finalist last year.
