Houston Freestyler Logan Shiller Commits to Texas Longhorns

Logan Shiller has chosen to stay in the state of Texas for the next four years. The Houston native has given her verbal commitment to the University of Texas.

Shiller explained,

“I chose Texas because I realized that when I stepped on campus I felt like I had found someplace that I could call home for four years and I fell in love with the team and the coaching staff.”

Shiller, who swims for Houston Swim Club, is a freestyler. She was an Olympic Trials qualifier in the 200 freestyle this summer and is also a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.

Shiller’s best times are (SCY/LCM):

100 Free: 50.85/56.59
200 Free: 1:48.68/2:01.90
500/400 Free: 4:50.91/4:18.81
1000/800 Free: 9:57.53/9:05.32

Joining Shiller in the Class of 2021 are Victoria Edwards, Evie Pfeifer, and Peyton QuattlebaumPfeifer, whose freestyle times have her set to pace the Big 12 Conference will be a great training partner for Shiller. Quattlebaum has also been a quickly improving 200 freestyler.

At last season’s conference championships, Shiller would have been an A finalist in the 100, 200 and 500 freestyle events.
