INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, November 8. WRIGHT State's Rafael Candido, UW-Green Bay's Danielle DeGrand were named Horizon League Swimmers of the Week, while Cleveland State's Chris Dalman, Youngstown State's Kelly Reese were honored as Divers of the Week
Candido won the 100 breast (:57.91) and 100 free (:46.53) against Oakland with both performances representing the top times in the Horizon League so far this season. He was also part of the winning 200 medley and 200 free relay teams.
DeGrand's efforts helped lead the Phoenix to the team title at the St. Cloud State Invitational Saturday. She led UWGB with three individual wins while swimming on two victorious relay squads. DeGrand won the 100 backstroke (:59.56), 400 individual medley (4:35.45) and the 200 IM (2:10.14) while swimming on the winning 400 medley relay (4:01.25) and the 400 freestyle relay (3:37.98).
Dalman posted a pool record of 375.45 in the three-meter and a 326.70 in the one-meter, winning both events and helping CSU to a team victory at St. Bonaventure on Saturday. He has not lost a diving event yet this season.
Reese posted her best scores of the season in exhibition diving competition against Butler on Friday. She scored 245.70 points in the one-meter and 235.95 in the three-meter.
