The heat sheets have been posted for the Friday night finals session at the Atlanta Pro Swim Series. Two swimmers pulled out of championship finals, Park Tae Hwan from the men’s 100 free and Mallory Comerford in the women’s 100 fly.

Park, after posting an impressive time in the 100 free prelims that ranks him in the top 20 in the world, withdrew to focus on the 400 free, in which he is the top seed.

Comerford, meanwhile, swam three events in prelims, the 100 fly, 100 free and 400 free, but she scratched the A-final of the 100 fly as well as the B-final of the 400 free to focus on the 100 free.

Aliena Schmidtke and Santiago Grassi enter finals as the top seeds in their respective 100 fly events, but Olympians Kelsi Worrell and Tom Shields are lurking in the women’s and men’s races, respectively.

Kierra Smith leads Lilly King into the women’s 200 breast final, while Chase Kalisz and Cody Miller have the middle lanes in the men’s event.

Simone Manuel qualified first by almost a second in the women’s 100 free, and in the men’s 100 free, Park’s absence will leave Joao De Lucca and Blake Pieroni in the middle lanes.

Katie Ledecky beat the field by almost eight seconds in the prelims of the women’s 400 free, so she’s unlikely to have any competition, even though she will swim the 100 free shortly before the eight-lap final.

And then in the final individual race of the night, Park will be bracketed by Felix Auboeck and Clark Smith in the men’s 400 free.

The session will begin at 7 p.m. ET, and live coverage will be available on SwimmingWorld.com.
