Good Luck Beijing FINA Diving World Cup: China Rules Roost On Day Three

BEIJING, China, February 21. FOR the third day in a row at the National Aquatics Center (Water Cube) in Beijing, the Chinese dominated the medal count at the Good Luck Beijing FINA Diving World Cup test event. By the end of the day, China swept gold and silver in the men's three-meter and won gold in the women's platform synchro competition.

In the men's three-meter competition, China went 1-2 with He Chong winning with an astounding 530.30 points, while Qin Kai finished second with 515.30 points. Mexico's Yahel Castillo finished just behind with a bronze-winning 515 points.

The U.S. was represented by Troy Dumais with a fourth-place 500.85 and Chris Colwill with an eighth-place 463.85.

In the women's platform synchro event, the Chinese ruled again as Wang Xin and Chen Ruo Lin posted a top tally of 375.66 points. Canada's duo of Emilie Heymans and Marie-Eve Marleau garnered silver with 340.05 points, while Australia's team of Melissa Wu and Briony Cole collected bronze with 334.80 points.

The U.S. tandem of Haley Ishimatsu and Mary Beth Dunnichay finished eighth with 309.06 points.
