Golden Bear: Women’s 400 Free Relay Downs National Record

ZAGREB, Croatia, July 1. THE Croatian record in the women's 400 freestyle relay fell during night one of the Golden Bear held in Zagreb. Meanwhile, a pair of distance events took place.

The foursome of Anja Trisic, Kim Daniela Pavlin, Andrijana Bencic and Doroteja Bednjanec clocked a 3:51.13 in the women's 400 free relay for the victory, and the national record. The quartet lowered the reported national mark of 3:53.28 set back in 2009.

Mario Todorovi, Ivan Tolic, Mario Delac and Ivan Capan claimed the men's 400 free relay crown in 3:25.18.

Karla Sitic captured the women's 800 free title in 9:05.91, while Matea Peteh finished second in 9:20.90. Ana Matkovic wound up third overall in 9:40.31.

Jan Karel Petric dominated the men's 1500 free title in 16:02.42. Tomislav Soldo finished second in 16:21.39, while Rok Kerin snared third in 16:37.20.
