Georgia’s Ian Grum, Abby McCulloh Named SEC Swimmers of the Week

Ian Grum and Abby McCulloh, both of Georgia, were named the SEC Swimmers of the Week in the season’s sixth installment of weekly honors, released Tuesday.

Both turned in stellar performances in a dual meet with Florida. The Gators did enough to put three on the weekly honors list: men’s diver of the week Skip Donald, men’s freshman of the week Aleksas Savickas and women’s freshman of the week Zoe Dixon. LSU women’s diver Chiara Pellacani rounded out the honors.

Grum won three individual events as the Bulldogs upended the Gators. The senior won the 100 backstroke in 47.16 seconds, claimed the 200 back in 1:42.38 and blew away the field to claim the 400 individual medley in 3:49.26.
