George Washington Grabs Verbal Commit From NBAC’s Dylan Arzoni
NEW COMMIT: North Baltimore Aquatic Club’s Dylan Arzoni has announced that he will be remaining in the mid-Atlantic region for his college education, making the short drive southward from Baltimore to Washington, D.C. in the fall of 2018 to swim for George Washington University.
Arzoni moved to Baltimore from England in 2013 and has adapted quickly to the SCY format. A nine-time medalist at British Age Group Nationals, Arzoni has built on his strong age group record with impressive swims as an NBAC senior swimmer.
With a range that extends from the 100-500 freestyles and strengths across the back and fly, Arzoni is not surprisingly also an accomplished IMer. At 2017 Summer Junior Nationals Arzoni swam the 100 free, 200 free and 200 IM. His top SCY times are:
- 100 free – 45.99
- 200 free – 1:39.09
- 500 free – 4:34.76
- 200 back – 1:55.04
- 200 fly – 1:53.88
- 200 IM – 1:51.36
Arzoni will be a welcome addition to the Colonials’ ranks. At the 2017 Atlantic-10 Conference Championships, his best 200 free would have earned him an A final swim alongside fellow teammates Morita Fath and Max Forstenhaeusler, while his best 200 IM would have scored points in the B final alongside teammates Forstenhaeusler and Emils Pone. Fath, Forstenhaeusler, and Pone will all be juniors when Arzoni arrives in D.C., so he will join a strong training group.
