Futures Qualifier Timo Paisley Commits to Florida Atlantic With CCSA A-Final Worthy Times
NEW COMMIT: Florida Atlantic University has received a new commitment for the 2021-22 season and beyond from Futures qualifier Timo Paisley of San Clemente, Calif.
He told Swimming World:
“I’m very excited and blessed to announce my verbal commitment to FAU, where I will continue my academic and athletic career. Thank you for my family, friends, teammates, and coaches who have supported my through the years!”
A talented freestyler and IMer, Paisley does his club swimming with San Clemente Aquatics and earned three best times at the 18&U Winter Championships in December. In Summer 2019, he was a five-time finalist at the MVN Junior Olympics where his highest showing was a fourth-place finish in the 800m free.
His best times include:
- 200 IM – 1:57.10
- 400 IM – 4:01.22
- 100 free – 48.77
- 200 free – 1:41.01
- 500 free – 4:30.62
- 1000 free – 9:41.54
- 1650 free – 16:34.15
Also competing for San Clemente High School, Paisley raced the 500 free at the CIF DI Southern Section Championship meet during his sophomore year.
Paisley will make an immediate impact when he arrives on campus this fall. His best time in the 500 free is already fast enough to win the CCSA conference title this past season, while he would’ve scored in the A-final of several other events.
Under head coach Lara Preacco, the Owls finished second overall in the team standings at the 2021 CCSA Men’s Championships.
