Foster Steps Down from USA Water Polo Board of Directors

LOS ALAMITOS, California, November 23. BOARD member and former President of USA Water Polo, Inc., Rich Foster has decided to resign from the USA Water Polo Board of Directors, effective immediately.

Foster served as President of USWP during two terms and has made a number of contributions to the sport. During his tenure, Foster created the national Speedo Cup age group tournament in Missouri, as well as led the effort to create the National Training Center in Los Alamitos, California. Rich was also an important part of the international effort to include women's water polo on the Olympic program.

"Rich has served water polo for a long time, and has made a number of important contributions to our sport, but his new responsibilities at United States Aquatics Sports will make it difficult for him to continue to serve on the board of USA Water Polo. We thank him for his service, and we wish him every success in his new role", said Mike Graff, Chairman of the Board of USA Water Polo.
