In San Antonio at the 2020 US Open, Carson Foster won the 200 IM with a 1:59.82 ahead of his brother Jake at 2:02.43. Carson’s time is the second sub-2:00 200 IM today after Chase Kalisz won the Greensboro heat with a 1:59.7. Carson sits second on the day in the 200 IM while Jake sits seventh overall with just the Beaverton site remaining. Foster’s best was a 1:57 from the US Open in December 2019.

The Texas men swept all three events on Friday afternoon as Daniel Krueger won the 50 at 23.25 ahead of Jack Armstrong (23.34) and Cameron McAnany (23.47). Longhorn freshman Coby Carrozza won the 400 free at 3:54.34 ahead of Texas grad Jeff Newkirk (3:55.04). Both those times sit outside the top eight for the day.

In Beaverton, Santo Condorelli posted the fastest time of the day in the 50 freestyle with a 22.27 on the west coast, surpassing Ryan Held (22.35) out of Huntsville earlier today.

In Irvine, Grant House covered the 200 individual medley in 2:03.04 to pick up a comfortable win over Etay Gurevich (2:05.53). The 400 freestyle was won by John Gallant in 3:53.61, with Olympian Jordan Wilimovsky a second back in 3:54.56. In the 50 freestyle, Payton Sorenson was the only sub-23 performer, going 22.73.
