Former Swim Coach Savannah Reis Indicted on Two Counts of Sexual Battery in Mississippi

Savannah Reis, a former swim coach for Performance Elite Aquatics in Mississippi has been indicted on two counts of sexual battery, according to a report from WLBT TV station in Jackson, Mississippi.

Reis, 34, was indicted on Friday in Rankin County. She was a former elementary school teacher as well. She was placed on leave before the school year from the Madison County School District when she worked at Madison Station Elementary School. Reis was an assistant coach at Performance Elite with her husband Fernando, who is the head coach.

Savannah Reis had been suspended by USA Swimming in early August for allegations of misconduct on July 24. The allegations were not clarified.
