Florida Tech vs Rollins

Women’s Meet

This Saturday Florida Tech took on Rollins College. It was a close meet between the two, but the Panther’s fell to their D3 competition in a 132-126 meet. The meet started off strong with a close race in the 200 medley relay. The Rollins team of Kylie Klotzbach, Taylor Wilks, Audrey Kula and Kylie Pillard snuck in for the win with a 1:54.00.

Rollins swept the 1000 freestyle and 100 breaststroke taking the top 3 spots. In the 100 back it was a close finish between the Panther’s Paulina Bjorkbacka (1:01.66) and Julie Cohen (1:01.67) and Rollin’s Kylie Klotzbach came in third (1:03.53).

The Panther’s closed the meet with another close finish between their C and A 200 freestyle relays. The team of Lauren Suarez, Mary Ida Spradlin, Paulina Bjorkbacka and Trista Phelps took first with a time of 1:42.73

Men’s Meet

On the men’s side the meet went the other way, with the Panther’s winning the meet 199-63. Florida tech won both the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays.

The 100 back tight between the two Panther’s Tyler Phelps (54.42) and Eric Berg (54.49), with Phelps taking first. It was also a close race in the 100 free between the Panther’s Logan Szarka (47.93) and Filip Dujmic (47.94) who were only one one hundredth apart.
