Philippe Marcoux has committed to swim for Yale University. Marcoux began swimming when he was seven in Hawaii. He currently swims for Swim Fort Lauderdale.

Marcoux shared,

“I am extremely happy to announce my official commitment to Yale University. Yale represents the epitome of the perfect balance between a great college education and swim program and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Really looking forward to spending the next four years as a bulldog!”

At the 2016 Florida High School 3A State Championship, Marcoux won both the 50 and 100 freestyles.

His best times are (SCY/LCM):

50 Free: 20.64/23.82
100 Free: 44.61/51.66
200 Free: 1:42.74/1:55.98
100 Back: 51.69/59.34
200 Back: 1:53.10/2:14.34
At the 2016 Ivy League Championships, Marcoux would have finished just shy of scoring in the 50 freestyle and in the C final of the 100 free. The Bulldogs had one B finalist in the 100. Freshmen Adrian Lin and Scott Bole rounded out the C final last year. The duo will have two years to train with Marcoux.
