Florida International vs. Florida Gulf Coast

MIAMI, Florida, September 30. THE three-time defending Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) Champions, the FGCU women’s swimming & diving team finished six events before weather cut short the season opening meet against FIU on Friday night.

After lightning and rain played havoc on the meet, FGCU was awarded the 66-44 win after six events.

“The meet was going very well for us and we were building a big lead,” said reigning CCSA Coach of the Year, head coach Neal Studd. “It’s a real shame that we have been stormed out twice in two weekends. “It was a win but not really a victory, we look forward to seeing FIU again in the spring.”

The Eagles will participate in a double-dual meet with FSU and Miami tomorrow beginning at 10 a.m. in Coral Gables.
