Flash!Peter Marshall Blasts World Record in the 100m Backstroke

EAST MEADOW, New York. PETER Marshall shattered the world record for the short course 100 metres backstroke at the US men's national collegiate swimming championships in East Meadow, New York.

It was the sixth world record set in the first two days of this three-day meet.

The 21 year-old Stanford university senior clocked 50.32 seconds to erase the former standard of 50.58, set by Germany's Thomas Rupprath in 2002
