Finland Long Course Nationals: First Day Complete

ESPOO, Finland, June 30. THE initial day of competition is complete at the Finland Long Course Nationals held in Espoo.

Hanna-Maria Seppala cruised to victory in the women's 100 free with a 55.16. Linda Laihorinne touched second in 57.08, while Lotta Nevalainen placed third in 57.68.

Eetu Karvonen posted a 1:02.77 to win the men's 100 breast. Iisakki Ratilainen placed second in 1:03.75, while Matti Mattsson wound up third in 1:03.75.

Jenna Laukkanen topped the women's 200 back in 2:17.49, while Vilma Ruotsalainen touched second in 2:21.51. Janna Ovaska earned third in 2:21.84.

Matias Koski captured the men's 400 free title in 3:58.91. Severi Allonen (4:00.36) and Sami Juopperi (4:02.21) rounded out the top three.

Ilkka Hanhineva hit the wall in 2:02.16 to win the men's 200 fly. Mika Sola placed second in 2:05.09, while Marko Vilpponen picked up third in 2:06.89.

Emilia Pikkarainen grabbed the women's 200 IM crown in 2:16.93. Noora Laukkanen finished second in 2:20.09, while Kati Vesala placed third in 2:24.27.

Sami Myre touched out Manu Mantymaki, 27.13 to 27.17, in the men's 50 back. Eloranta Valtteri took third in 27.32.

Kaisla Kollanus won the women's 50 fly in 27.97, while Linda Laihorinne (28.02) and Sini Kuutamo (28.13) took second and third-place honors.
