FINA Women’s Water Polo World League – European Round 2

PHOENIX, Arizona, Jan. 26. HUNGARY and Italy claimed victory in round two of the FINA Women's Water Polo World League European tournament. Hungary defeated Greece, 10-8, in Eger, Hungary; the Italian team was victorious over Russia, 16-15.

Hungary stands atop the European Group A standings with a 2-0 record, with both Greece and Spain at 0-1. In Group B, Italy has a 2-0 record with Russia and the Netherlands at 0-1.

In round 3 action Feb. 6, Greece and Spain will meet in Athens, Greece; Kirishi, Russia will be the site of the Russia-Netherlands match.
