FINA Short Course World Championships: Day 1 Prelims Heat Sheets Available
The start lists are out for the first session of prelims at the 2016 FINA Short Course World Championships, which underway in Windsor at 9:30 a.m. ET Tuesday morning.
The event schedule includes:
- Men’s 400 free
- Women’s 200 free
- Men’s 200 fly
- Women’s 50 breast
- Men’s 100 back
- Women’s 400 IM
- Men’s 100 breast
- Women’s 100 back
- Men’s 200 IM
- Women’s 400 free relay
- Men’s 400 free relay
Among the highlights of the morning session, 2008 Olympic gold medalist Federica Pellegrini is the top seed in the women’s 200 free, and Chad le Clos and Tom Shields will swim in consecutive heats as the two prepare to square off in the men’s 200 fly. The men’s 100 back will feature two previous long course World Champions in Junya Koga (2009) and Mitch Larkin (2015).
Vladimir Morozov, Cameron van der Burgh and Cody Miller lead a stacked field in the men’s 100 breast, and Katinka Hosszu holds the top seed in both the women’s 400 IM and 100 back.
