GREENSBORO- There are speedy swimmers in the pool and in the stands this year at D-1 NCAAs. Former Stanford National Champion Felicia Lee can be found leading the Cardinal cheering section and working out in the pool between prelims and finals. Lee spoke to Swimming World’s Tiffany Elias about life as a post-grad swimmer, having more freedom and swimming for herself again.

Lee has a unique perspective since she trains with the Stanford team and knows what they are capable of. But this go ’round, she feels the pain of parents and coaches, as she has no power over what unfolds in the pool. All she can do is cheer until her voice is hoarse. She’s well on her way.
