Marshall coaches the South Texas Flying Fish in Houston, which won the short course zone championship in March. He discusses the tactics he used to convince nearly his entire team to compete in the meet, and the tough events he asked them to swim. Despite a mindset of requiring his athletes to race some of the toughest events, Marshall said he wants his athletes to treat a meet like a party and to not complain about a bad swim. His work with making adults great athletes coincides with his additional work to keep kids active through Tumble Kids, a company he started that gives kids a fun space to play in a retrofitted bus.
