European Open Water Championships: Italy Claims 5K Team Title

DUBROVNIK, Croatia, September 11. THE Italians came together to win the inaugural 5K team event at the European Open Water Championships.

The threesome of Andrea Volpini, Rachele Bruni and Luca Ferretti posted a time of 56:17.5 to win the gold for Italy.

Meanwhile, Russia's trio of Daniil Serebrennikov, Evgeny Drattsev and Ekaterina Seliverstova finished second in 57:03.6. Germany's team of Jan Wolfgarten, Britta Kamrau-Corestein and Thomas Lurz took third in 57:30.0.
