European Championships: Ukraine’s Illya Kvasha Wins Men’s One-Meter

BUDAPEST, Hungary, August 11. UKRAINE's Illya Kvasha claimed the men's one-meter title during the third night of diving at the European Championships. Kvasha nipped Germany's Patrick Hausding by 3.65 points in a close battle. Kvasha took gold with 433.90 points, while Hausding earned silver with 430.25 points.

Spain's Javier Illana grabbed third-place for bronze with 414.35 points, while Russia's Evgeny Kuznetsov placed fourth with 411.45 points.

Austria's Constantin Blaha (401.70), Italy's Michele Benedetti (397.20), Ukraine's Yuriy Shlyakhov (396.10) and Italy's Christopher Sacchin (386.15) picked up fifth through eighth in the competition.
