European Championships: Italy, Germany Earn Final Diving Gold Medals

BUDAPEST, Hungary, August 15. THE last day of diving at the European Championships produced gold medal performances by Italy and Germany in the women's three-meter synchronized and men's 10-meter platform individual events.

Italy's Tania Cagnotto and Francesca Dallape started off in first after the first round and never looked back en route to 327.90 points to secure gold in the women's three-meter synchronized event. Ukraine's Olena Fedorova and Anna Pysmenska took second with 312.00 points, while Russia's Anastasia Pozdnyakova and Svetlana Filippova finished third with 307.50 points.

Germany's Sascha Klein closed out the meet with a victorious tally of 534.85 in the men's 10-meter platform individual event. He won the gold medal by 18.40 points over teammate Patrick Hausding's silver-winning total of 516.45. Belarus' Vadim Kaptur completed the podium with a bronze-winning 515.80.
