Eugene Godsoe Celebrates Sponsorship With Mizuno During Performance of Original Composition

PALO ALTO, California, April 16. EUGENE Godsoe became the first American swimmer to be sponsored by Japanese swimsuit and apparel manufacturer Mizuno, and celebrated the deal with a performance of an original composition.

Though Mizuno is extremely popular in Japan, with several top Japanese swimmers signed to the brand, the company has not broken through in the United States. Signing a two-time national champion could change that.

Godsoe will make his Mizuno racing debut next week at the Arena Grand Prix in Arizona, but displayed the logo in the following performance of an introspective original composition, appropriately titled “Within.”
