Aiken Augusta Swim League’s Ellen Johnson will sign with American University tomorrow. Johnson attends Greenbrier High School.

Her best times are:

  • 50 Free 24.48
  • 100 Free 53.77
  • 100 Back 58.86
  • 200 Back 2:08.43

Johnson would have finished just outside scoring in the 100 backstroke at last year’s Patriot League Championships. All of the team’s scoring swimmers will have graduated by Johnson’s arrival in D.C. in the fall.

She explained her decision,

“I chose American because of the amazing combination of strong athletics and academics as well as a great coaching staff and team. Go Eagles!!!!”

ASL Program Director Adam Sasso shared,

“Ellen has been one of our great senior swimmers with ASL for many years. She has represented ASL extremely well over the years with great success both in the pool and academically. I, along with the rest of the ASL coaching staff and team, are very proud of her accomplishments and know that she will represent ASL to the highest level while attending American University.”
