Elizabeth Beisel Joining USA Swimming Foundation Board of Directors

Two-time Olympian Elizabeth Beisel has joined the USA Swimming Foundation Board of Directors. Beisel discussed the decision Monday afternoon at the USA Swimming Foundation’s luncheon at the Marriott Marquis in New York City.

Beisel said that she immediately agreed to join the Foundation when she got a call from Executive Director Debbie Hesse.

“Debbie called me up about a month ago. I say yes to everything Debbie asks,” Beisel said.

The Foundation provides funds for learn-to-swim efforts and also helps support National team members who are professionals.

“You don’t know how much we appreciate what you guys do,” Beisel said to the Foundation donors in attendance. “It’s nice to know that we have people like you that support us. We’re going to do our best to swim fast and support you guys.”

Beisel, who spoke to Swimming World two weeks ago in Rhode Island, plans to return to competition sometime next year.
