East Carolina Gets Verbal Commit From MOR’s Hunter Pigg

NEW COMMIT: Hunter Pigg, a senior at Millbrook High School in Raleigh, North Carolina, has verbally committed to swim for East Carolina University beginning in the 2018-2019 season. Pigg, a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American, is a freestyler and butterflier.

His top times are:

  • 100 Free 46.96
  • 200 Free 1:41.55
  • 100 Fly 50.80
  • 200 Fly 1:51.38

At last year’s North Carolina 4A High School State Championships Pigg finished eighth in the 200 free (1:42.78) and ninth in the 100 free (47.27). He also anchored (21.09) Millbrook’s third place 200 freestyle relay. On the ninth place 400 freestyle relay Pigg split a 46.60, swimming fourth.

Pigg is already in scoring range at the American Athletic Conference Championships. His best times put him in the 100 fly and 100 free B finals.
