Easop Lee of the North Baltimore Aquatic Club was the standout performer Friday night at the CeraVe Invitational in Piscataway, N.J., as she picked up wins both the 200 free and 100 fly.

Lee first posted a 2:01.53 in the women’s 200 free to surpass the field by more than a second and a half. Minutes later, she was back in the pool to compete in the 100 fly, and she finished that race in 1:02.39.

Olivia Paoletti of the Delaware Swim Team blasted a 1:10.94 to take down Badger’s Carly Cummings in the women’s 100 breast. Later on in the session, Cummings finished second again in the 200 IM, but she did not go down without a fight, using a strong breaststroke leg and a dominating surge in the final 10 meters to twice make up the gap on the Suburban Seahawks’ Alex Sumner. But Sumner held on for the win, 2:17.64 to 2:17.77.

To open the evening, Badger’s Nathalie Eid won a wire-to-wire victory in the women’s 800 free, touching in 8:56.92. Bluefish’s Will Barao looked like he would do the same in the men’s 800, opening up a massive lead but fading badly down the last 300 meters. Long Island’s CJ Arena took advantage and stole the race, finishing in 8:30.00.

Long Island’s Jason Louser posted a strong time of 1:05.32 to win the men’s 100 breast. One race later, North Baltimore’s Billy Cadigan won the 200 free in 1:55.89. Barao, coming off his second-place finish in the 800, made a strong effort to finish second in 1:57.50, but his prelims time of 1:55.58 was the top effort of the day.

Delaware’s Jake Johnson won the men’s 100 fly in 55.48, and Eastern Express’ Connor Doyle took first in the final individual event of the night, touching in 2:06.42 in the men’s 200 IM.

Long Island Aquatic Club won the women’s 800 free relay in 8:35.60, but it was not easy, as Maggie Aroesty had to overtake Berkeley’s Anastasia Bogdanovski down the stretch. Aroesty and LIAC touched in 8:35.60, one one-hundredth of a second ahead of Bogdanovski.

Eastern Express closed out the evening with a win in the men’s 800 free relay, touching in 7:52.46.

Full live results can be found here, and race videos will be posted here.
