Dynamo Swim Club Announces Co-Interim Head Coaches Following Turcotte Passing

Dynamo Swim Club has announced the appointment of two interim head coaches following the unexpected passing of head coach Jason Turcotte.

Coaches Rich Murphy and Beth Winkowski have been named co-interim head coaches, while continuing to be in charge of their other duties.

Murphy will serve as Associate Head Coach, Director of Competitive Performance, and coach of the Senior 1 Group, while Winkowski will continue to be in charge of team operations and administration, while also serving as the lead coach of the Chamblee Senior 1 Group.

Rich Murphy – Interim Co-Head Coach. Rich will lead Dynamo’s competitive performance efforts. Rich has been serving as Associate Head Coach and Director of Competitive Performance and coach of the Senior 1 group in Alpharetta.  Rich has been a Dynamo coach for years and has a wealth of college and club swim coaching experience prior to Dynamo.  Rich holds the highest level of certification from the American Swim Coaches as a Level 5 certified coach. Rich was the Developmental Coach of 2012 and 2016 Olympian Matias Koski and 2016 Olympian Jay Litherland and he also currently coaches US National Team Member Michael Taylor.

Beth Winkowski – Interim Co-Head Coach. Beth will be in charge of swim team operations and team administration. She will also be the lead coach of the Chamblee Senior 1 group, assisted by Mary Buzeta and Mike Ross.  Beth is currently Associate Head Coach and lead coach for the Chamblee facility.  Beth has been a Dynamo coach since 2004 and previously served as Interim Head Coach 2005-2006.  She won the 2014 ASCA National Age Group Coach of the Year award and is a two-time winner of the Georgia Age Group Coach of the Year award.  Beth also served as the womens’s head coach of the USA Swimming National Select Camp in 2017.

Along with Rich and Beth, the Club will continue to be supported by Assistant Head Coach Brian Wrighton and Head Age Group Coach Nick Graves.
