Dutch Long Course Nationals: Job Kienhuis Sets Another National Mark

EINDHOVEN, The Netherlands, June 14. JOB Kienhuis set his second Dutch record in as many days during the Dutch Long Course Nationals held in Eindhoven.

Kienhuis posted a 15:10.31 in the men's 1500 free to cut two seconds from his record of 15:12.12 set in April. Bryan Mannaart took second in 16:05.22, while Enzo Murzilli touched third in 16:24.73.

Monika Nijhuis set the meet record in the women's 50 breast. She checked in with a 31.46, which bettered her mark of 31.89 set in prelims. Tessa Brouwer finished second in 32.05, while Eline Boers took third in 32.89.

Rieneke Terink cleared the meet mark in the women's 400 IM with a time of 4:50.27. That effort beat the 4:52.45 set by Michelle Smith back in 1996. Lieke Verouden touched second in 4:56.79, while Lona Kroese touched third in 4:59.38.

Sharon van Rouwendaal cleared the meet record in the women's 1500 free with a 16:47.63. The swim beat her record of 16:48.17 set last year. Marieke Nijuis placed second in 17:30.72, while Marion van den Berg took third in 17:31.31.

Sebastiaan Verschuren claimed the men's 100 free title in 49.45. Stefan de Die (50.53) and Joost Reijns (50.57) placed second and third. Femke Heemskerk followed in the women's 100 free with a winning time of 54.04. Ilse Kraaijeveld took second in 55.26, while Saskia de Jonge placed third in 55.31.

Bastiaan Lijesen captured the men's 100 back in 56.33, while Jurjen Willemsen touched second in 57.33. Nathan Fraysse grabbed third in 58.68. van Rouwendaal snared the women's 100 back in 1:02.72 with Kimberley Albers (1:03.21) and Wendy van den Zanden (1:03.31) completing the top three.

Robin van Aggele cruised in the men's 50 breast with a 28.68, while Thijs van Valkengoed finished second in 29.19. Rudy Ted de Haan picked up third in 29.25. Joeri Verlinden won the men's 50 fly in 24.09, while Bastiaan Tamminga placed second in 24.36. Jeroen Stuut touched third in 24.48. Meanwhile, Hinkelien Schreuder won the women's 50 fly in 26.31. Chantal Groot earned second in 26.69, while Kelly de Jong placed third in 27.49.
