Dominic Giordano Claims Pitt’s 1st NCAA Title With a Win in 3-Meter Diving

Pittsburgh’s Dominic Giordano gave his program its first NCAA title ever with a win in the men’s three-meter diving event at the 2016 NCAA Division I Men’s Championships.

Giordano won the three-meter event with 460.30 points.  Miami’s Briadam Herrera, who shook off a potential balk with an appeal to the judges, took second with 457.65 points.

Texas’ Cory Bowersox claimed third overall with 420.50 points.

Indiana’s Joshua Arndt (419.05), Missouri’s Clark Thomas (417.55), North Carolina’s Jack Nyquist (409.55), Minnesota’s Matt Barnard (381.00) and Texas A&M’s Tyler Henschel (332.55) also competed in the finale.
