Keven Stahl has committed to swim for Division III York College beginning in the fall. Stahl swims for Occoquan Swimming Inc in Virginia.

His best times are:

  • 500 Free 4:29.95
  • 1000 Free 9:15.35
  • 1650 Free 15:39.29
  • 400 IM 3:57.69

With those times Stahl will likely make a splash at the National Level. His best 500 freestyle time would have finished 15th at this year’s Division III NCAA meet and just a second shy of the A final. He would have been a 400 IM A finalist this year and placed tenth in the 1650.

Stahl’s personal best times in his top seven events were all posted in the past month. He’s been on an impressive improvement trend, chopping 20 seconds off his best 1650 time and 15 from his 1000 in the past year.

Stahl said of his college choice,

“I chose York college because Coach Doyle is awesome, the team is super nice and friendly, the campus is wonderful, I just felt at home when I walked in to the pool. I’m looking forward to swimming for them.”

Stahl will also make a huge impact on the conference level. The Spartans finished second at this year’s CAC Championship. Stahl’s best times would have won the 1650 and taken 29 seconds off the conference record. He also would have won the 500 free and 400 IM, both by solid margins.
