Discover A Pathway To Fast Swimming In May’s Swimming World Magazine

PHOENIX, Arizona, May 4. FOLLOWING up on last month's issue, writer Daniel Carl continues his look into training anaerobic capacity, anaerobic power and aerobic energy systems. In the current issue if Swimming World Magazine, his focus is on aerobic capacity and aerobic power.

The first portion of this article, Maximizing Aerobic Sprinting, provides a description of aerobic capacity, how it relates to swim training and why it is vital to being able to perform at a high level in the pool. The article goes on to provide readers with specific ideas as to how to design an aerobic power set.

Carr addresses the critical role that race pace training plays in maximizing energy efficiency in swimmers. He points out that only race pace tempo provides that the swimmer is actually getting the desired muscle fibers needed to supply the necessary energy for success in competition.
