Denison’s Damon Rosenburg Breaks NCAA Division III Record in Miami Invite Prelims

OXFORD, Ohio, December 6. WHILE there was a lot of talk about Pavel Buyanov’s NCAA Division III record in the 100-yard breaststroke being wiped out once the Staten Island swimmer was named ineligible for his swims in the past few years, Denison’s Damon Rosenburg erased all doubt by completely blasting Buyanov’s former time this morning.

Buyanov had lost his 54.27 NCAA D3 record time by decree last month, but Rosenburg bypassed that time with a sizzling 54.08 this morning at the Miami Invitational. There’s little doubt he’ll be under 54 seconds this evening as well as he continues to progress the record well past Buyanov’s influence.

Keep an eye on SwimmingWorld.com to see whether the Virginia native is able to break that barrier this evening.
