Delaware, Old Dominion at Northeastern

BOSTON, Massachusetts, November 3. THE Huskies swept Old Dominion and Delaware in a two-day pod meet, beating the Monarchs 205-148 and the Blue Hens 194-159. Northeastern has now beat all five schools it has competed against this season.

Senior Brittany Gilles continued her dominance in the diving events, scoring 281.10 in the 1-meter dive and 266.20 in the 3-meter to take first place against both teams. Gilles has won every event she has competed in this year. Sophomore Kathrine Fugge won the 50 (24.79), 100 (53.22), and 200-yard (1:55.34) freestyle events for the second meet in a row, and was also part of the first place 400-yard freestyle relay team.

Junior Elena Alvarez and senior Kara Lane also put together impressive performances for the Huskies. Alvarez took the 100-yard breaststroke (1:07.09) along with second place finishes in the 200-yard breaststroke and 200-yard IM. Lane won both butterfly events, clocking in at 58.83 in the 100 and 2:08.10 in the 200.
