Delaware Blue Hens Start 2021 Recruiting with Verbals from Cristin Earley, Peyton Rautzhan
NEW COMMITS: The University of Delaware has officially begun their class of 2025 recruiting after receiving a pair of verbal commitments for the fall of 2021 from Orange, Conn. native Cristin Earley and Peyton Rautzhan of Macungie, Pa.

Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I’m Super excited to announce my verbal commitment to further my academic and swimming careers at University of Delaware. A huge shoutout goes out to all my coaches, friends, and family for helping get to this point. I can’t wait to join the blue hen fam come 2021!!”
Earley does her club swimming with Hopkins Mariner Swim Team and sprinted to 20th place in the 50 free at Connecticut Seniors in February. Last summer, she earned a best time at Connecticut LCM Seniors before going on to race four events at Geneva Futures.
Her best times include:
- 500 free – 5:01.23
- 1000 free – 10:26.40
- 100 back – 56.59
- 200 back – 2:02.19
- 200 IM – 2:06.31
Also competing for the Hopkins School, Earley is a six-time New England DI Prep School Championship finalist. She placed third in the 200 IM and eighth in the 100 back as a junior while taking fourth in the 200 IM and seventh in the 500 free during her sophomore season.
PEYTON RAUTZHAN

Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I’m so excited to announce my commitment to the University of Delaware! Thank you to my friends, family, and coaches who have supported me along the way. Roll hens!”
Rautzhan swims year-round with Emmaus Aquatic Club and raced five events at Middle Atlantic Seniors in March 2019. She recorded two best times at Middle Atlantic LCM Seniors last long course season before going on to compete in two events at Eastern Zone Seniors.
Her best times include:
- 50 free – 24.00
- 100 free – 53.26
- 200 free – 1:58.80
A senior at Emmaus High School, Rautzhan sprinted to 14th place in the 50 free at the Pennsylvania 3A State Championships this past season. She also won that event and secured bronze in the 100 free at the District XI meet during her junior campaign.
