Conference Championships: All the Info You Need for the Power Five Meets

The conference championships swimming season is upon us and the power five conferences will host their meets in the next three weeks, beginning with this week.

The Big Ten Women’s Championships kick off this week, as well as the ACC Championships and SEC Championships. A week later will be the Big Ten Men’s Championships, the Big 12 Championships and the Pac-12 Women’s Championships, followed by the Pac-12 Men’s Championships in week three.

Here is a look at each of the power five meets and where to find all of the coverage.

2023 Big Ten Women’s Championship

Feb. 15-18, Ann Arbor, Mich.

The University of Michigan’s Canham Natatorium will play host to the 2023 Big Ten Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships, Wednesday through Saturday, Feb. 15-18 as 12 teams compete for the conference crown. The women’s championships will take place in Ann Arbor for the first time since 2016 and sixth time overall, as U-M has also hosted the event in 1989, 1993, 2002 and 2009.

Ohio State is the favorite, while Indiana and Michigan lead the rest of the competition looking to unseat the Buckeyes.

2023 ACC Conference Championships

Feb. 14-18

Greensboro, N.C.

Greensboro Aquatic Center will host the ACC Championships from Tuesday-Saturday. The Virginia women are the clear favorite to claim the women’s title, while NC State aims to claim the men’s title. Of course, Virginia and Virginia Tech will be aiming for the same thing, which should make the men’s meet very interesting.

2023 SEC Conference Championships

February 14-18

College Station, Texas

The SEC Championships will take place on the campus of Texas A&M. Florida looks to be the favorite for the men once again, while a cluster of teams including Auburn, Alabama and Texas A&M will chase. Florida, Alabama, Tennessee and Texas A&M all take aim at the women’s title, which is a little more up for grabs, at least on paper.

2023 Big Ten Women’s Conference Championship

Feb. 22-25, Ann Arbor, Mich.

The University of Michigan’s Canham Natatorium will play host to the 2023 Big Ten Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships, Wednesday through Saturday, Feb. 22-25.

Indiana and Ohio State are the two teams ahead of the pack on paper, while Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota look to chase.

2023 Big 12 Conference Championships

Feb. 22-25

Austin, Texas

The 2023 Big 12 Swimming and Diving Championship is coming to the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swim Center in Austin, Texas on February 22-25. The Championship will air on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ featuring Kyle Sockwell and Natalie Kalibat.

The University of Texas is once again favored to sweep both the men’s and women’s meets.

2023 Pac-12 Women’s Conference Championships

Feb. 22-25

Federal Way, Wash.

The Pac-12 Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships will return to Federal Way. The Stanford Cardinal are the favorite, while Cal and USC will also make some noise in the water. Some of the top performances in the nation have come in past Pac-12 meets, including some NCAA records. Stanford has the star power, but Cal and USC have the depth, while swimmers from UCLA, Arizona and Arizona State could make a splash, too.

2023 Pac-12 Men’s Conference Championships

March 1-4

Federal Way, Wash.

The Pac-12 Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships will return to Federal Way. Cal has won the past several team titles on their way to challenging for NCAA titles. Meanwhile, the upstart Arizona State men’s team looks poised for some big things as well, making this perhaps the most intriguing of the power five meets.
